Strengthening Skills and Mindsets of General Managers

Leadership in Service

Leadership in Service

The STYLNER® programme is intended for leaders and upcoming leaders in service industries, and helps participants recognize their signature leadership traits and dominant mindsets. The course content draws on SOJOURNEUM’s proprietary inventory of eighteen personality traits, and helps General Managers focus on three aspects: accentuating their signature strengths, changing limiting mindsets, and finding innate drive.

Organisational Culture & Climate

Organisational Culture & Climate

The OCLIME® programme focuses on the "occupational community culture" in hospitality. The programme then builds the participants’ capabilities to conceive and execute the hotel’s unique “signature culture and climate”. It engages General Managers on the seven components of hospitality culture and on the techniques to embed these in the hotel organisation, leading to a distinctive competitive identity.

The OPEREFT® programme aims to strengthen financial management capabilities in General Managers by training them in a wide range of relevant financial concepts, methodologies and techniques. The programme encompasses: financial controlling and variance management, the analysis of financial and cost statements, budgeting and capital budgeting, cashflow management, scenario planning and forecasting, and revenue management.

Content includes: building linkages with company strategy, market projections, competitor analysis, customer segmentation and targeting, Unique Value Proposition, financial projections, scenario development, and P&L construction. Emphasis is on making business planning an inclusive, bottom-up exercise within the hotel organisation.

Aspiration Setting

Aspiration Setting

The BROWAIM® programme trains General Managers in the art of aspirational goal-setting by going beyond cognition and leveraging conation and affect. It focuses on "aspirational" as well as "deliberative" goal setting approaches, and provides cognitive and conative tools to make goal-setting and budgeting more inclusive within the hotel organisation. The programme improves the quality of targets as well as the levels of target achievement.

Risk Management

Risk Management

The RISACEND® programme is designed specifically for leaders in hospitality, and trains General Managers in a distinctive yet practical approach to risk management.
